Day of the Dah

There are various iterations of the Seax of Margate, and in this talisman we travel east.  But like the Seax the Dah embodies protection, sacrifice, bravery, power & courage. Always good to have that slung round your neck if not in your hand. 

This dagger was carved in wood, sanded, then cast in bronze with engravings along the blades. The chain is comprised of a sterling silver chain combined with antique piece of jade which I picked up from an antique dealer in SE Asia in Nov 2024. Jade 玉 is worn for harmony and protection and I make everyone in my family wear one.  This particular one is a traditional jade circle—a symbol of eternity and rebirth. 

This is a one off piece. It weighs 18.56g.

The chain drop is 25.5, and the entire drop of piece is 36 cm.
