This necklace, strung on a silver chain, is a truly special piece, blending rich cultural symbolism with protective energy.

In Hindu tradition, particularly in South India and Malaysia, a thayathu is a cylindrical or tubular amulet used for spiritual protection. Typically made of silver, copper, or gold, it is worn around the neck, waist, or arm as a protective talisman and a conduit for divine energy. You can also place your own personal manifestations, wishes, dreams, and intentions inside the thayathu, keeping them close to your heart as a daily reminder of your path.

Balancing this sacred element is a Celtic Bronze Age hoop, a form of ancient currency dating back to around 700 BC. I’ve loved sourcing these from mudlarkers, old collectors, and similar keepers of history, and this particular Celtic Iron Age bronze ring was found in the Midlands from a Staffordshire collection.

Suspended from the hoop is a horn shaped piece of onyx. Onyx is a stone of strength and stability. It grounds the wearer, offering protection from negative energy while promoting focus and self-discipline. Known to absorb and transform lower vibrations, Onyx helps restore balance and inner confidence.
