This hand carved solid silver bear claw with a green tourmaline is grounding and protective, and can be worn as a pendant or on any other talismanic combination of your choice.

My mother, an antiques collector, once shortened a pair of tourmaline earrings and gave me the three loose stones. One was for my wife. One went into a bronze burried band ring, and this is the other. It blazes with a vivid, electric energy—reminding me of the fierce clarity of Green Tara. Known for her swiftness and protection, Green Tara frees us from the eight inner and outer dangers: the lion of arrogance, elephant of ignorance, fire of anger, snake of jealousy, thieves of wrong views, the chain of miserliness, the flood of attachment, and the carnivorous demon of doubt.

I've set it into a solid silver bear claw. Bear claws are potent symbols of strength, protection, and primal courage. In many Indigenous and spiritual traditions, they represent the bear's fierce will to survive and its deep connection to the earth. A bear claw symbolizes resilience—the ability to face adversity head-on—and serves as a talisman of healing and inner power, much like the bear itself, which hibernates to heal and emerges renewed. The claw, a part of the beast that defends and gathers, reminds us to stand our ground, defend what matters, and move through the world with grounded confidence. Whether worn as a charm or marked in sigil form, the bear claw calls on the spirit of fierce guardianship and deep, instinctive wisdom.
