Bes the protector

A small and mighty black tourmaline capped in silver with a mini chunky buried band, swing off a vintage curb chain.

Bes the ancient Egyptian God, Father, dancer, companion, and protector. He had a special responsibility for pregnant women, mothers and children. He was playful when needed and a fierce warrior when needed. Something I think we can all tap into - Bes the Fighter dealt with threats to the physical body, Bes the Dancer dealt with threats to the heart. By keeping the heart joyful and content, Bes warded off spirits who might otherwise bring malice or sorrow. This Bes tourmaline makes for a wonderful amulet.

Tourmalines are essentially a bad ass super cleanser, that grounds, empowers and protects. They have the ability to cut right through spirally thoughts and get you to listen and trust you gut instinct! It can be very useful if you suffer from anxiety and it is the perfect repellent against energy vampires. They also look like they have been lifted up from the earths core.

Though these little ones have a fairly stable crystal structure, it is always a best practice to be gentle handling them. Cleanse with running water and air dry in the sun or if you have one of Primal Stones selenite plates, that would be perfect. I tend to dunk mine in the sea and leave it under the moon light (when I remember  - usually when the moon is so friggin large and screaming at me!!!)
