Sterling silver curb chain with bronze hand and Victorian Albertina tassel.

This one might be hard to let go of, and this combination is just beautiful. As some that have been a while will recognise, the hand is a symbol which emerges in different ways in my work. In Hindu mythology, Savitri is a revered figure known for her devotion, wisdom, and determination. The most famous tale involving her is from the Mahabharata, where she restores her husband Satyavan’s life by confronting Yama, the god of death. Her courage and eloquence compel Yama to return her husband’s soul.

Savitri’s hand is more than just a gesture of love - it holds the deep power of the five elements within us. Her thumb, filled with the fire of divine will, carries the strength of universal consciousness, bold enough to face death itself. Her index finger moves with the air, clear and full of courage, guided by her strong and steady spirit. The middle finger holds the space of akasha, the quiet power that connects all things - soul to soul, life to what lies beyond. Her ring finger, strong like the earth, keeps her grounded with calm determination. And in her little finger, the water flows - soft, gentle, full of memory and care, carrying the promise of return. With this hand, she doesn’t just reach out to save her beloved - she brings back balance, restores life, and shows the world that love, when in harmony with the elements, can shape destiny itself.

And then to the sterling tassle - just a little bit of oomph.
