Bleeding heart

A solid silver heart with star-set black diamonds on a short sterling box chain with star shackle, hanging generally just beneath your clavicle. I think one of my most magical amults to date. The heart came from a mudlark find of a antique button, that was found in the thames. I pressed this into delft clay (sand) and poured in molten sterling silver. 

A bleeding heart motif symboliSes love, passion, and emotional depth. It evokes vulnerability and sincerity, representing the courage to feel and give deeply. When paired with strong materials like metal and black diamonds, it becomes a balance of delicate emotion and enduring strength - a reminder that love and resilience can coexist in the same piece. These are lab created diamonds, though energy is used to make them, natural black diamonds are very rare and Smith & Sun don't buy newly mined diamonds. all our diamonds are either lab created or antique stones. These diamonds have a beautful shimmer, almost hematite ilke in apperance.

The six black diamonds add symbolic weight and they look kinda badass (to me). Known  striking depth, black diamonds are often linked to strength, courage, and protection. They are said to absorb negative energy, helping the wearer stay grounded and centered. Unlike pale diamonds, which radiate outward, black (and darker shades of) diamonds are thought to draw energy inward, fostering resilience, focus, and clarity. Their dark, enigmatic sparkle is both subtle and powerful, making them a stone of quiet confidence and enduring elegance. I love them, but i'm a scorpio.

All of our pieces are crafted from reclaimed sterling silver, giving new life to materials with history. Working with recycled metal not only reduces waste but adds character and depth to each piece. The silver for this peice was extracted from X-rays - i thought particully fitting, healing to heart, heart to healing.
