A gentle healing, heart opening talisman capped in deep red/orange copper, perfect for this season.

This is a beautiful green prase, a micro-crystalline quartz crystal found in Mongolia but bought from a man in the northwest peninsula in 2023 when I visited my dad. He had a small shop of ethical crystals and we spent ages chatting about lemurians and monglian quartz. He then pulled out a small tray of magical specimens. I bought two, this is one : ) The green color of the quartz can most likely be attributed to hedenbergite, enclosed within it. Its not from a foreign element, like chlorite that occupies a place in the crystal lattice. Actually, prase is a somewhat difficult to identify because it is not a recognized name and has no clear description. This is stunning and gentle crytal, full of beautiful glyphs and little record keepers - A magickal piece.

Prase quartz is believed to offer a blend of calming, grounding, and clarifying energies, making it a supportive stone for emotional and physical well-being. Its gentle, soothing vibration is thought to ease stress, anxiety, and emotional tension, while its green hue connects to the heart chakra, encouraging compassion, love, and a sense of emotional balance. Many also view it as a grounding stone that helps strengthen one’s connection to the Earth, fostering stability and centeredness - especially during times of change or uncertainty. In addition, prase quartz is often associated with physical healing, particularly in relation to the heart, circulation, and immune system, supporting overall vitality. Like other quartz varieties, it’s also believed to enhance mental clarity and focus, helping to clear mental fog and offer deeper insight during meditation or introspective practices.

I held it for a year on my alter, then we decided it was time - capped in heated copper to reveal the nuanced colours of autumn - feuille-morte - the trees reminding us how natural death is.

It hangs of a sterling silver chain, made in parts for vintage and antique elements.

Chanson d’automne by Paul Verlaine (1844 –1896)

Les sanglots longs

Des violons

De l’automne

Blessent mon coeur

D’une langueur

Monotone.Tout suffocant

Et blême, quand

Sonne l’heure,

Je me souviens

Des jours anciens

Et je pleure; Et je m’en vais

Au vent mauvais

Qui m’emporte

Deçà, delà,

Pareil à la

Feuille morte.
