This bronze Nāgá snake, which appears frequently in some of my work, is given a one off twist here, physically a different shape from the nāgá's you might gave previously seen here, but also hanging off a belt/ trouser hook. Its a real vibe!
Snakes represents creative life force: powerful, splendid, wonderful and proud. Moving forward with new ideasand values. Overcoming challenges more easily and finding the balance between duality and singularity. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. Now imagine having that energy poised on your body.
Bronze is a metal made through relationship.It exists only when different elements are brought together with intention, heat, and care—which is why it has always been used for ritual objects, protective tools, and talismans meant to endure. It is not extracted into perfection. It is made, and it remembers being made. Bronze changes with time. Its surface darkens, softens, and records touch. This living patina is participation. Bronze is a grounding metal, one that anchors intention into the body and the everyday world and it does it all with a masive smile.
Our talismans are shaped slowly, by hand and fire. Slowness allows intention to settle. Care becomes a form of protection. Bronze holds what is given to it. ITs why im mildly obsessed.
