A hefty bronze nāgá on a two type antique super duper substantial sterling silver vintage chain. It is a power house piece. It will curl around your neck like the protector it is. Calming yin silver paired with a firey bronze snek. I probably say this alot but this IS an epic piece. This particular nāgá is very tactile. I added little drops of bronze all along its body which feel really nice if you run your finger along it.
I was recently with my dad and he has quite a few in his house. One from Thailand in particular is really interesting, as I always thought it was a flame but apparently it is actually a nāgá that coiled around Buddha seated in Padmasana. As he was in a deep meditative state (this was just before he reached enlightenment) the Muchalinda nāgá raised him up and protected him from monsoon rains. I had to chuckle as my mums name is Linda - there's alot history there ha!
Snakes represents creative life force: powerful, splendid, wonderful and proud. Moving forward with new ideas and values. Overcoming challenges more easily and finding the balance between duality and singularity. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. Now imagine having that energy poised on your body.
it carries a deep energetic resonance of grounded strength and endurance. Its metaphysical properties are rooted in its elemental makeup (copper, tin). Copper brings courage, vitality, and energy flow, while tin/zinc contribute clarity and inner alignment. Together, they create a material that many spiritual traditions believe amplifies positive intentions, clears stagnant energy, and promotes emotional balance.
It is also linked to Venus — the planet of love and creativity — and is said to balance the chakras and bring harmony to relationships. Known as Kansa in Eastern traditions, it is believed to strengthen Venusian energy when worn or used intentionally. Across spiritual and scriptural contexts, bronze also represents the refining fire: the idea that, like metal itself, we are tested, purified, and ultimately strengthened by the experiences we face, and like the snake we are always reborn stronger.
