A one of a kind stirling silver chocker with bronze dagger, vintage jade and a buried band.
For those who've been following S&S for a while, you'll know there's a few iterations of the Seax of Margate in the collections, the sword representing protection, sacrifice, bravery, power & courage. Always good to have that slung round your neck if not in your hand. This dagger was carved in wood, sanded, then cast in bronze with texture added along the blades.
I've paired it with a vintage piece of nephrite jade, itself hanging off a small piece of sterling silver chain. This shape in Māori - Toki - is often related to strength and power. The jade capped in silver and engraved, is a Victorian piece.
Both the Seax and the Toki are attached to a stirling silver buried band, meeting a chocker that i've textured and polished.
