Helena Blavatsky would have been 195 years old on last week's solar eclipse - controversy aside, she was one hell of a powerhouse. Kinda makes sense that this amulet screamed her name at me! A stunning smoky quartz with tourmaline and mica inclusions, capped in sterling silver with a fairly weighty silver belcher chain. Most of my things are one-offs — but this, this someone might have to pry out of my hands!
Essentally this amulet is a smoky quartz at its core - grounding and protective. And then there is glittering mica which is great for mental clarity and balance, and for protecting you against negative energies and psychic attacks.
Oh and more about Blavatsky... Well there is a lot to say about her and i'm sure y'all know plenty but briefly: She was a mystic born in Ukraine who spent her life stitching together Eastern philosophy, Western esotericism, and her own visionary cosmology into what became modern Theosophy. She was fiercely unconventional, and endlessly polarizing — accused of fraud by some, revered as a spiritual trailblazer by others. Love her or side-eye her, there's no denying she cracked open doors for occult and esoteric thought that are still swinging today.
