A bronze Georgian-esque hand holding a golden topaz crystal on a sterling hoop, suspended from a thin silver chain.

The name topaz is believed to stem from the Greek topazos, meaning "to seek" — a name applied to a whole family of gems discovered on the Topazios Islands in the Red Sea. Others trace it back to Sanskrit, where topas or tapaz means "fire." Golden topaz is a powerful manifestation stone, linked to the solar plexus chakra; this piece would sit right around there, depending on chest size.

Scorpio's birthstone (no wonder Tara was so reluctant to part with it), this sunny, fiery stone throws stunning rainbows, catches the light beautifully, and pairs perfectly with black. I always think of golden topaz as a little portable battery charger you carry with you — a wearable energy top-up.

Hotaru is the Japanese word for firefly — and in Japanese legend, fireflies are believed to carry the souls of the dead, their light something ancient and flickering and alive. It feels like the right name for a piece that holds this much warmth and glow. There's also a phenomenon called simultaneous bioluminescence, where every firefly in an area syncs their flashes, lighting up in perfect unison all night long — occurring in only two places on earth: Southeast Asia and the Great Smoky Mountains. Individual sparks, all lit by the same fire.

The clenched bronze fist is inspired by Georgian artistry and symbolises strength, loyalty, and friendship.
