A hand carved solid silver bear claw sandcast with blue and clear CZs, it can be worn as a pendant or on any other talismanic combination of your choice.
In modern Celtic-inspired and neopagan traditions, the bear is often linked to the Winter Solstice, not as an official zodiac sign but as a seasonal archetype. Because the bear retreats into its den during winter and reawakens in spring, it mirrors the Solstice cycle of descending into darkness and emerging renewed as the light begins to return. This connection makes the bear a symbol of rebirth, inner wisdom, protection, and quiet transformation. Associated with ancient bear imagery such as the goddess Artio, the bear embodies the deep stillness of winter, the introspective journey of the soul, and the promise of renewal that follows even the darkest night.
Bear claws are also potent symbols of strength, protection, and primal courage. In many Indigenous and spiritual traditions, they represent the bear's fierce will to survive and its deep connection to the earth. A bear claw symbolizes resilience - the ability to face adversity head-on - and serves as a talisman of healing and inner power, much like the bear itself, which hibernates to heal and emerges renewed. The claw, a part of the beast that defends and gathers, reminds us to stand our ground, defend what matters, and move through the world with grounded confidence. Whether worn as a charm or marked in sigil form, the bear claw calls on the spirit of fierce guardianship and deep, instinctive wisdom.
